Cyst of the gingiva (mucocele)

      Abstract

      A case of clinically discernible cyst of the attached gingiva has been reported. Histologic examination of the lesion showed the presence of heterotopic glandular elements and the formation of a cyst that was similar in all respects to a mucocele.
