Squamous-cell carcinoma of the jaw arising in a simple cyst

      Abstract

      We have reported a case in which there is evidence that a squamous-cell carcinoma has arisen in a pre-existing cyst. In view of the increasing number of similar case reports, it seems unwise to neglect the removal of any part of a cyst lining, especially in older patients.
