      Abstract

The ichthyoses are a group of hereditary disorders that share in common the accumulation and shedding of large amounts of hyperkeratotic epidermis. Little is known about the oral manifestations of these disorders. Following a review of the literature, a case study is presented and the dental management of the patient with ichthyosis is discussed.
