Published:March 01, 2022DOI:https://doi.org/10.1016/j.oooo.2022.02.010
A 59-year-old woman presented to an oral surgeon with referral from her treating prosthodontist for evaluation of a newly discovered radiolucent lesion of her anterior mandible. The patient's medical history was significant for thyroid cancer treated with thyroidectomy without radiation therapy 15 years before presentation, non-Hodgkin B-cell lymphoma of the spleen diagnosed 3 years prior and treated with chemotherapy, as well as onset of widespread subcutaneous soft tissue lesions of her lower trunk consistent with lymphomatous involvement 6 months before presentation. The patient had been treated with rituxan, cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, vincristine, and prednisone, and the subcutaneous nodules resolved.
